Electric Vehicle Charging

Journey to Net Zero Emissions

Pieper Electric was founded in 1947, and from the company’s inception to the present, has been at the forefront of a vast array of advancements in the electrical industry.

These changes often occur due to technological advancements in lighting, motors and controls, automation, power generation, photovoltaic, safety and one of the latest: Electric Vehicles and associated charging infrastructure is no exception.

Comparison of three types of electric vehicle chargers: Level 1 120V, Level 2 208V or 240V, and DC Fast Charger 480V. Level 1 connects via standard 120V outlet, suitable for residential use, adds 3-5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 connects to 208V or 240V outlets, used for residential and commercial purposes, adds 12-80 miles of range per hour. DCFC provides rapid charging at 480V, used for commercial purposes, adds 3-20 miles of range per minute.
